To The Pointe  Code of Conduct for parents

 

  1. Parents agree to abide by and respect all policies and procedures set forth by To The Pointe as outlined in the enrollment policies; payment policies and studio policies.
  2. Parents recognize the To The Pointe classes operate in the safest manner by trained dance teachers and assistants. Parents agree that their children are in good physical condition and will disclose all pertinent medical information in a timely manner.
  3. Parents understand that children exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be removed from the dance class. Parents agree to partner with To The Pointe staff to resolve behavioral issues immediately so that their child may return to class promptly.
  4. Parents will in good time, but as a minimum of 14 days, inform the principal of any extended holidays or absences which will affect their child. If a dancer misses a lesson for any reason, they are required to catch up the lesson before the following class by checking with the other dancers on what was missed.
  5. Parents are expected to respect all To The Pointe staff at all times.
  6. Parents will not interact with anyone associated with To The Pointe in a manner that is intended to provoke hostility.
  7. Parents understand that all decisions regarding examinations; shows; costume design; merit awards and all other issues regarding the above are decided by the principal and are final.
  8. Parents are expected to keep any negative opinions of any area of To The Pointe to themselves when in the studio; examination or theatre setting. To The Pointe staff are available to address any issues or concerns.
  9. Parents must supervise their children while waiting at the studio to ensure that they do not disrupt classes; injure themselves or other dancers. Parents accept full responsibility for damages created by unsupervised children.
  10. Parents understand that it is their responsibility to locate lost items in Lost and Found. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity at the end of each year.
