
To The Pointe Code of Conduct for dancers
- Dancers are expected to attend all stipulated classes. Dancers who miss classes are required to catch up the lesson before the following class by checking with the other dancers on what was missed.
- Dancers are expected to be punctual as warm up is conducted at the beginning of each lesson and this is imperative for safe practice.
- Dancers are expected to wear correct ballet uniform at all times with hair secured in a bun. No T-shirts or shorts are allowed over leotards and ballet shoes must be worn in every class. Long sleeve vests or pink ballet jerseys may be worn over the leotard in winter.
- Dancers are expected to demonstrate respect for all To the Pointe staff at all times.
- Dancers are encouraged to establish new friendships with dancers in their class. We enforce teamwork and fairness and dancers are expected to treat each other with respect.
- Dancers are expected to focus and pay attention to the dance teacher’s instructions and keep their talking to a minimum.
- Dancers must treat the studio’s premises and the possessions of all other dancers with respect, consideration and care.
- Dancers are expected to clean up after any mess they create while at the studio.
- Dancers understand that there is a zero-tolerance behavior policy at To the Pointe. Dancers behaving inappropriately will be removed from the dance class and parents notified.
- Dancers understand that decisions regarding examinations; productions; costume design and any other decisions regarding the studio are made by the principal and are final.
